Celso turns over school project in Divisoria
Mayor Celso Lobregat together with education officials inaugurated yesterday morning the newly rehabilitated two-storey six-classroom building worth P1.5 million at the Divisoria Elementary School in Barangay Divisoria, east of this city.
This, Lobregat said, brings to a total of P5,753,450.86 worth of various infrastructure projects the city government has undertaken and completed this year (FY 2009) alone in Barangay Divisoria.
Lobregat was assisted by City Engineer Luis Vicente Despalo, City Schools Division Superintendent Dolores Alcantara, school Principal Benjamin Atiola, Barangay Chairman Santiago Macrohon and ASY Contraction engineer. The occasion was witnessed by the school’s over 1,000 pupils together with their teachers and parents.
Among the city government projects completed this year in Divisoria are concreting of road leading to the health center- P295,810.74; improvement of farm-to-market road leading to Lumbangan- P481,021.98; concreting of road at Divisoria Valley Urban Poor Network- P299,714.13; construction of slope protection at Maria Clara Lobregat National High School- P1,382,506.62; construction of two units comfort room at Divisoria ES- P255,239.79 and construction of drainage system at MCLL NHS- P1,555,239.79.
Ongoing projects in Divisoria include construction of drainage system at Bucoy’s Drive, Zone 1 amounting to P434,498.34 and construction of additional two-storey eight-classroom building worth P7.655 million at MCLL NHS for a total of P8,089,498.34. Up for bidding is the concreting of road at Lumiyap (going to cemetery) for P2.445 million.
In 2008, Divisoria received a total of P14.9 million worth of various projects from the city government and P11.7 million more in 2007.
Earlier on, Lobregat together with other city and barangay officials unveiled the newly concreted road worth P9.1 million in Barangay Sta. Catalina. The road is 640 linear meters in length and 9.5 meters in width.
Barangay Sta. Catalina so far has received a total of P64 million worth of projects since 2007 up to today. For 2009, the completed projects include concreting the road at Christian-Muslim Sta Catalina Urban Poor Association Inc. and rehabilitation of drainage system at R. Lustre St. to Ayer Village, Sta.
