Gov. Lim avenue to undergo repair
Traffic in the Gov. Lim Avenue and its adjacent streets will be slightly affected with the proposed rehabilitation and reconstruction work that will be undertaken in the area starting March 1.
Mayor Celso Lobregat the other day issued Executive Order 311-2010 ordering the temporary and partial closure of portions of Gov. Lim Avenue effective first day of March to pave the way for the project, a priority pump priming project of President Gloria Arroyo and implemented through the District Engineer’s Office.
The temporary and partial closure of some portions of the street is aimed to properly address the traffic situation in the area, ensure the unhampered work, prevent accidents and as well as guarantee the swift completion of the project.

The contractor, through the District Engineer’s Office, requested the temporary and partial closure of portions of Gov. Lim for the duration of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the damaged road.

“While the project is on going in the aforesaid areas, all intersections traversing Gov. Lim Ave. will remain open to vehicular traffic,” the order said.
The mayor advised the district engineer to ensure that the contractor of the project shall provide all the necessary safety and or warning devices for the guidance of all concerned.
