Mangusu, Buenavista folks thank Celso, city for P9M projects

Mayor Celso Lobregat and members of the City Council and other officials of the city barnstormed barangays Mangusu and Buenavista yesterday and turned over infrastructure projects for the wellbeing of the residents in the area.

The projects turned over in Buenavista consisted of two farm to market road projects worth almost P3 million while in Mangusu the projects amounted to over P6 million and included barangay hall worth P4.1M , fence with gate at the Mangusu Elementary School P682, 356. 64; 2 farm to market road projects and concreting of road for barangay Mangusu costing over P1 million.

Mangusu Barangay chairman Bobby Pagsubiron and Buenavista barangay chairman Haber Mating were one in expressing their gratitude to the city government and Mayor Celso Lobregat for initiating the projects and for continuously implementing projects for the barangays.

Habal-habal drivers and farmer-residents of both barangays have also expressed elation especially for the farm to market road projects as these they say, would facilitate transport of products and passengers.

The residents said expressed their continuous support to Mayor Lobregat and his administration because of the number of projects being implemented for the betterment and welfare of the residents especially in the far flung barangays.

Accompanying the mayor during the turn over of projects in Mangusu and Buenavista were Councilors Cesar Iturralde, Nonong Guingona, Rey Candido, Rudy Lim and Eddie Saavedra, City Engineer Luis Despalo, his executive assistants and other officials and residents of the barangays.

Mayor Lobregat has pledged to continue the implementation of projects as he stressed that the city is able to accomplish all these because of sound fiscal management.

For as long as he is mayor, Lobregat said he will initiate more and more projects for all the 98 barangays in the city. (Sheila Covarrubias)
