Yakan Weaving Village

Weaving center of the unique Yakan cloth, hand woven by the Yakans, original inhabitants of nearby island Basilan and among the finest weavers of the country. The village also sells brassware, antiques, traditional Muslim swords, wood carvings, pottery, ceramics and shell trinkets. It is 7 kms. from city proper along the west coast road.
