Zamboanga Hermosa Festival October 1-12, 2009

The region's biggest and most anticipated celebration, welcomes thousands to Asia's Latin City. The feast in honor of Nuestro Señora La Virgen del Pilar, patroness of the City, is observed from October 1-12 with a string of awesome activities. One of the most spectacular of these events is the annual regatta, a fluvial parade and competition of native colorful sailboats called "vintas".
